Corsican Fire Salamander

The Corsican Fire Salamander (Salamandra corsica) is a species of salamander in the Salamandridae family. It is found only on the island of Corsica as an endemic species. For former times this species was known as a subspecies of the widespread but continental distributed Fire salamander which may appear quite similar. They have somehow been released into areas of the UK. Know one really knows how exactly, but they're here. There are 6 recorded breeding pairs.
